European Cricket League (“ECL”) is the Champions League of European cricket. Founded by Daniel Weston, Roger Feiner, Frank Leenders and Thomas Klooz and hailed as a cricketing equivalent of the UEFA Champions League, the second-staging - ECL21 - will be played in May and June in Spain.
Svanholm, semi-finalists at ECL19, will return as Denmark’s representatives again after beating Skanderborg Stingrays by nine wickets in a play-off for ECL21 qualification.
Massive commiserations to the vanquished Skanderborg side who were denied a shot at ECL20 honours because of the unfortunate postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
