FanCode ECS Spain, Barcelona provides an opportunity for 24 Catalonian teams to showcase their skills at the Montjuic Olympic Ground. All 124 games will be live streamed worldwide on the European Cricket Network and on FanCode - a multi-sport aggregator platform, from the house of Dream Sports for the Indian Sub-Continent.
Group C looks the most-wide open at the FanCode ECS Spain Barcelona.
Minhaj (MIN), Bangladesh Kings (BAK), Skyways (SKY), Barcelona Gladiators (BAG), Raval Sporting (RAS), Kharian (KHA)
Minhaj were hotly fancied to do well at their ECS debut in November but flattered to deceive with just two wins in eight games.
But Minhaj, the oldest club in Catalunya, possess some genuine T10 pedigree, having qualified as Spain’s representatives for ECL20. Unfortunately, Minhaj were unable to take their place at ECL20 after the postponement due to the Corona pandemic. However, Minhaj are still in line to qualify for ECL21 if they come through a play-off against La Manga CC in the Spring.
Bangladesh Kings have an abundance of young talent and progressed to the semi-finals on European Cricket Series Barcelona debut. BAK won 6 out of 7 in the group stages, losing only to eventual champions Catalunya CC in the semi-finals. Bangladesh Kings will look to go one better at this edition.
Raval Sporting CC boast a good mix of young talents and experienced campaigners and will look to build on a decent showing at their opening ECS Barcelona in October, picking up four wins in seven games.
RAS racked up three wins in eight games at the follow-up ECS, and are a good solid outfit, not to be under-estimated over this explosive T10 format.
Skyways (SKY), Barcelona Gladiators (BAG), and Kharian (KHA) are all newcomers and will look to spring a surprise on ECS debut. Kharian seem best placed of the trio to make a challenge to the top two of Minhaj and Raval Sporting.
