The recently concluded ECS Cyprus Encore was a spectacular event that showcased thrilling cricketing action. The tournament, held at Ypsonas Cricket Ground in Limassol, saw an impressive 16,083 runs scored, 564 wickets taken, 1,407 fours, and 1,094 sixes smashed across the games. This edition also saw 16 centuries hit, the most ever in a two-week event on the European Cricket Network (ECN).

In a highly anticipated final, the Sri Lankan Lions faced off against Sher-e-Punjab. Batting first, the Sri Lankan Lions set a daunting target with a total of 183 runs. Sher-e-Punjab, despite their best efforts, could only muster 110 runs in response, leading to a decisive victory for the Sri Lankan Lions. This victory marks their second ECS triumph this year, having also clinched the ECS Cyprus title earlier in January-February.

Akila Kalugala of the Sri Lankan Lions was once again named the MVP of the tournament. Kalugala's exceptional performance included scoring 560 runs, featuring two centuries, one of which was pivotal in the final. Additionally, he demonstrated his fielding prowess with eight catches, the most in the tournament.

Pawandeep of Sher-e-Punjab emerged as the tournament's leading run-scorer, amassing a total of 585 runs. On the bowling front, Gurdip Sharma of Napa Kings took the spotlight as the leading wicket-taker with 13 wickets.

The ECS Cyprus Encore has proven to be a memorable tournament, delivering high-octane cricket and showcasing some of the finest talents.
