Episode 6 of The Big Shot features Jason Van Der Merwe from Irish club CIYMS and his outstanding tournament at ECL 2023. Jason delivered impact performances with the bat and in the field, establishing himself as one of the standout players of the competition.

Across the tournament, he scored an incredible 641 runs at a strike rate of 232.25, hitting 56 sixes and 49 fours. Alongside his explosive batting, Jason pulled off one of the best team catches ever seen on the European Cricket Network and finished the event as MVP of the tournament.

His all round contribution, consistency and presence under pressure earned him a reputation as a formidable force on the ECN stage.
