Roma Women become Italian Womens T20 Champions in the first ever live broadcast of womens cricket from Italy, beating Padova Women in the final, broadcast live on the European Cricket Network on Sunday.
Roma bowlers Nimesha Asuramanage notched 2-10 and Sharon Withanage 3-9, but Padova's cause was not helped by no less than three run outs, slipping to 50 all out.
In reply, Roma cruised to their target in only 5.2 overs with player of the match Kumudu Peddrick hitting 31 off 21 balls.
