Team Preview for Bengal Tigers CC

Established in 2007, Bengal Tigers Cricket Club (BTCC) is a predominately Bangladeshi club at the heart of the local community. After losing their first two FPL matches, the Tigers bounced back to win their two matches in the Finnish Ten10 League on Sunday.  They will be hoping to carry that form into the 20 over format in this match.

Key Players

*Nurul Huda* is a star all-rounder.  Scoring 22 in each of his first two FPL innings this year, he is also a very effective off-spin bowler with an economy rate of only 4.40.

*Tonmoy Saha* excelled with bat and ball in their opening match of the tournament.  He is a natural leader and will hope to captain his team to their first FPL victory in this match.

*Belayet Khan* picked up 3 for 17 off 3 overs in their first match against Empire CC, and is also useful for some lower order runs if required to bat.

*Muhammed Imrul-Abedin* looked out of sorts in their opening two FPL matches, but seemed to play himself into some form in the Ten10 competition on Sunday, striking 23 at run-a-ball.  Let’s see if that form continues in this match.

Captain: Tonmoy Saha

Main wicket-weeper: Muhammed Imrul-Abedin

Team Preview for Greater Helsinki CC

Finland Division 2 champions in 2019, earning the “Gladiators” promotion to the top flight of Finnish cricket.  In their first FPL match, they went down by 25 runs to SKK in their first FPL match in 2020, before a stunning recovery led to their first victory in the competition on Monday.  Falling to 21 for 5 at one point, they recovered to post a score of 107, then successfully defended it against FPC.

*Pankaj Saharan* should return to the team after being a late withdrawal for their last game.  In their first match, he scored 41 off 43 balls with the bat while chipping in with a couple of handy wickets.

*Muhammad Gawas* partnered with his captain for a 57 run partnership for the 6th wicket against FPC which set up a very unlikely victory.  Scoring 35 off 32, he also featured with the ball, taking 3 for 14 off his 4 overs, stifling the chase of the opposition.

*Javed Jan* may look like George Costanza but he bowls like Jasprit Bumrah!  Very useful in the late overs with his accurate medium-fast bowling and also has shown safe hands in the field.

*Atti Rehman* has been good with the new ball, picking up 4 wickets in the tournament at an economy rate of only 4.75.

Captain: Faisal Shahzad

Main Wicket-Keeper: Simranjit Brar

Mr Maximo’s tip: *Bengal Tigers CC*

Helsinki Gymkhana are coming off a victory and look good on paper, but I’ve just got a sneaky feeling about the Tigers in this one.  The Tigers to win and pick up their first win in the FPL for 2020!
