FanCode ECS Romania provides an opportunity for five teams to showcase their skills, contesting 24 games over six days. Every game will be live streamed worldwide on the European Cricket Network and on FanCode - a multi-sport aggregator platform, from the house of Dream Sports for the Indian Sub-Continent.
Romania captain Ramesh Satheesan smashed a 35-ball 88 as United thumped Bucharest Gladiators by 64 runs in the opener on Monday. Having compiled 143 after opting to bat first, UNI were unchallenged in the run-chase by BUG. The only highlight for BUG was Romania star Pavel Florin taking a wicket with his very first ball in the competition this year, before finishing with a three-for.
BUG were humbled yet again, this time by another clinical batting display by the UNI batsmen, but also by Satheesan's exceptional bowling spell. In 1.4 overs, he picked up five wickets, while conceding just three runs to bag the Man of the Match award again.
Baneasa put up a stiff fight, but were in with little chance after a scintillating century from Gohar Manan took ACCB to 166 batting first. Abdul Shakoor's unbeaten 49 and Parminder Mann's 39 took BAN to triple figures, but never close to the target.
A blinder of a knock from Abdul Asif, who smashed 75* in 19 balls saw ACCB win both matches against BAN.
