
Atlas UTC Knights extended their winning streak with a commanding batting display against Royal Strikers. Samuel Stanislaus was the star of the show with his knock of 47, studded with four sixes. In the end, AUK had enough runs on the board and managed to defend comfortably.

The tables completely turned in the second match of the day as Royal Strikers bowlers ran riot against AUK who could have topped the group with a win. Led by Kushlesh Kopakka’s three-wicket-haul and a couple of wickets each for Rubin James and Jithin Joy, Strikers registered a surprise first win of FanCode ECS Malta in emphatic style.

Despite conceding 14 runs in the last over, Overseas managed to defend the target by just a single run. Swieqi United needed a boundary to win the match off the last ball, but could only manage two runs.

SWU took swift revenge in the very next match. Led by Anil Qadir and Imran Ameer, SWU reached the target in the final over of the match. Ijaz Hussain ended proceedings with a huge six, leading the side to a seven-wicket victory and some momentum going into the knockout stages.
