Hosts Venezia made it a PERFECT ten wins out of ten following an impressive spell of 4-5 from Miah Alamin in the Final, which restricted Royal Cricket Padova to a paltry 76. As so often during this dominant week, Venezia reached the target in emphatic fashion with the minimum of fuss with 22 balls to spare.
Captain Nazmul Haque led the way, racking up 413 runs in the tournament, including a marvellous century. However, it was Sharif Ahmmed who stood up to the occasion with an unbeaten 21-ball 73, following a rare Nazmul failure in the semi-final against Lonigo.
Three-time Italian Champions Trentino Aquila adapted well to the T10 format on debut and claimed third-place honours.
Nazmul Haque, top run scorer (413) and Miah Alamin, top wicket taker (21) were rightly named joint Man of the Series for their valuable contributions with bat and ball respectively.
