Introducing Venezia (VEN) FanCode ECS Italy Venice

The origins of Venezia Cricket Club can be traced all the way back to 2006 when Alberto Miggiani, later to become the esteemed club President, kept on finding stray cricket balls in his back garden.

What are these strange objects he asked? The inquisitive Signor Miggiani ended up forming a team.

Founded in 2006, Venezia CC is the main cricket club in the region of Veneto, whose capital is Venice. With players predominately of Bangladeshi origin, Venezia could always boast great youth teams, winning no less than nine youth titles between 2009 and 2013. After a lull, Venezia qualified for the quarter finals of both the Italian T20 Championship and Coppa Italia in 2020, results which offer new enthusiasm for the long-term future.

Venezia also impressed on ECS debut in November, with five wins in six games, topping the group ahead of eventual winners Bergamo United, before a semi-final exit.

Venezia looked invincible at FanCode ECS Italy Venice completely dominating the week as VEN went undefeated with 10 wins in their surge to glory.
