Founded in 1986 and boasting a great tradition of bringing through younger talent. With 12 titles, Bologna CC is the second most succesful Italian team at youth level, closely behind Roma Capannelle (13).

Bologna play their cricket over the longer format in Serie A, the top level of Italian cricket and won the Coppa Italia in successive years in 2003 and 2004.

A closely knit club, many learnt the game in Italy having come through the youth set up together. On ECS debut in November 2020, Bologna bagged a 50 percent record in six games, just missing out on the knockout stages. A young, developing team, often with six or seven players under the age of 23, Bologna enjoyed a relatively successful season in domestic cricket, but came up against the big guns in the knockout stages, losing out to Kings XI and Italian champions Brescia.
