FanCode ECS Hungary provides an opportunity for five teams to showcase their skills, contesting 24 games over six days. Every game will be live streamed worldwide on the European Cricket Network and on FanCode - a multi-sport aggregator platform, from the house of Dream Sports for the Indian Sub-Continent.
Royal Tigers produced a dominant display against Blinders Blizzards in the first match of the day. Thanks to outstanding knocks from Stan Ahuja and Khaibar Deldar, ROT put up 111 on board. Vigneshwaran Jayaraman’s four-wicket-haul prevented BLB from even thinking about reaching the target and ROT won by a 56-run margin.
The second double header followed a similar script as the previous match. ROT won the toss, decided to bat first, and Stan Ahuja and Khaibar Deldar shone with the bat. This time, Abhishek Kheterpal did the damage with the ball for ROT and helped his side win back-to-back matches.
The first match between Budapest Blinders and Cobra Cricket Club proved to be an absolute thriller. BUB needed 20 runs to level the score in the final over and 17 came off the first five balls. Needing a boundary to win the match, Jogi Sehgal cleaned up Maaz Bhaiji, who looked to be in extremely good nick, ensuring COB sneaked a victory off the final ball of the match.
The second game between the two sides turned out to be a one-sided affair with Budapest Blinders asserting complete dominance over the Cobras. Nisantha Liyanage restricted COB to a score of just 64 in 10 overs. Opening batsmen Abbas Ghani and Mahela Daub helped BUB get to the target with ease.
