VFB Fallersleben won the Shield Final for fifth place at the Dream11 European Cricket Series Kummerfeld last summer. The team from Wolfsburg improved greatly as the tournament progressed and will look to continue that improvement into the new season. Winless in their five group games, VFB overcame SC Europa in a close finish to win the Shield.
However, VFB will have to do without the services of talented all-rounder Janardhan Siddaiaha who is unavailable. Sandeep Vasisth scored 92 runs in six knocks on debut and will have to carry more load with the bat this time around, along with Satish Kumar, VFB's all-time leading run scorer. All-time leading wicket taker Mahesh Badhe will spearhead the attack.
