Indo - Bulgarian CC completed a routing in the finals to emerge as title winners in the Fancode ECS Bulgaria 2021 edition.
We look at some key stats and figures from the tournament.
Average runs and run rates
INB were clinical batting first, making the most average runs in the first innings in the tournament. The quality in their line-up is reflected by the fact that INB scored at 11.4 runs per over, while conceding runs at 9.0 runs per over.
Runs per match
The total runs scored per match increased as the tournament progressed and on Finals day 190 or more runs were scored in three of the four matches.
Boundaries
INB dealt in boundaries batting first and their superior scoring rate in the first innings comes from the fact that INB hit boundaries at regular intervals. Furthermore, PLO were especially clinical hitting sixes in the first innings.
Powerplay runs
PLO were the only team to post a 50-plus score in the powerplay overs. PLE, INB and MUS did not manage over 40 runs in the powerplay overs.
Average wickets and mode of dismissals
INB took more average wickets per innings than all other teams. The tournament stayed true to the belief that bowling wins matches in shorter formats.
Overall, the Fancode ECS Bulgaria saw a lot more bowled dismissals than usual with over 33%. Caught out still finished the most popular mode of dismissal, however.
