FanCode ECS Bulgaria provides an opportunity for five teams to showcase their skills, contesting 24 games over six days. Every game will be live streamed worldwide on the European Cricket Network and on FanCode - a multi-sport aggregator platform, from the house of Dream Sports for the Indian Sub-Continent.
Both matches between Indo-Bulgarian CC and BSCU – MU Plovdiv turned out to be high-scoring thrillers that ended in a win for the former. Leaders INB remain unbeaten in the tournament.
In the first game, despite a valiant effort from Sulaiman Ali, who smashed a 38-ball 73, PLO ended up falling agonisingly short of the target by three runs.
Agagyul Ahmadhel slammed three sixes off six deliveries to take INB to a very formidable total, also helped by skipper Prakash Mishra’s innings. Saim Hussain tried to force the issue for PLO during the run-chase, but an all-round disciplined bowling performance led by Deep Singh helped INB secure yet another win.
An unbeaten 25-ball 32 from Akshay Harikumar went in vain as Mayank Singh picked up two wickets and helped Academic - MU Sofia to their fifth win in succession.
In the last match of the day, PLE batted first but once again the lack of quick-fire runs proved to be an issue. Albin Jacob was the pick of the bowlers for MUS. The run-chase was guided by Firas Hussain, who retired hurt after a 28-ball 43. Huzaif Yousuf also slammed 20 runs in 11 deliveries to take MUS to their sixth straight win.
