RECAP – DAY 1 – FanCode ECS Bulgaria

Despite a valiant effort with the bat from Kevin D’Souza, who remained unbeaten on 64 off 23 balls, he couldn’t rescue the game for his side. Indo-Bulgarian CC restricted Academic – MU Sofia from scoring a single run in the last three balls and ended up defending the total by two runs.

The bowlers of Indo-Bulgarian CC put in another stunning shift in the second match of the day. Bakhtiar Tahiri, Rohit Dhiman and Hristo Lakov all picked up a couple of wickets each to restrict the opposition. Prakash Mishra and Agagyul Ahmadhel ensured that INB got to the target pretty comfortably.

Led by Ali Hussain’s effort with the ball, BSCU – MU Plovdiv kept the Barbarians batting unit at bay. The run-chase became straightforward once Saim Hussain hit top gear. He remained unbeaten on 67 from 21 deliveries, smashing as many as seven sixes, as reigning champions PLO won with five overs to spare.

The fourth match of FanCode ECS Bulgaria between BSCU – MU Plovdiv and Barbarians had to be abandoned due to rain just as Sulaiman Ali, Man of the Match in the final last season, started to fire.
