European Cricket Network announced the introduction of women's T10 events in its calendar with the first ever women's T10 tournament to be played under lights in Gibraltar from 20th February.

European Cricket Network (ECN) has announced the introduction of women's T10 events throughout this year and beyond. This new venture is set to revolutionize women's cricket, as it will host the very first women's T10 event in Gibraltar.

 

The idea behind this decision is to showcase the immense talent that female cricketers possess and to provide them with a platform to showcase their skills. The first ever women's tournament will feature four international teams from the Netherlands, Italy Sweden and hosts Gibraltar. This is a major milestone for women's cricket in Europe, as it will provide female players with an opportunity to compete on the international stage and to be recognised for their hard work and dedication to the sport.

The FanCode ECIW Gibraltar, 2023 is set to take place in Gibraltar and promises to be a tournament to remember. The event will feature the women's national teams of Gibraltar, Sweden, Italy and the Netherlands, as they battle it out for supremacy on the field. The tournament will consist of 12 exciting matches, set to be played from Monday, February 20th to Saturday, February 25th at the magnificent Europa Sports Complex.

 

This tournament marks a significant milestone in the history of women's cricket in Europe as it will be the first ever televised women's cricket event played under lights. The matches will be broadcast live to cricket fans around the world, giving them a chance to see some of the best women cricketers in action.
