REPORT: United CC make early running at European Cricket Series Romania

United CC prevailed in a dramatic Golden Ball finish against Indian CC Bucharest to take top spot going into the final day. Despite a cameo from Pavel Florin for the hosts, skipper Ramesh Satheesan was the man of the day for United with two match-winning knocks.

On Sunday morning, Cluj will look to topple the leaders United, while Indian CC Bucharest will be strong favourites to beat winless Baneasa in the last round robin match.

It is not beyond the realms of possibility that Cluj, United and Indian CC Bucharest could all finish on four points so net run rate will ultimately be crucial at the European Cricket Series Romania.
