Sparta top the table with four wins out of five matches. They have already qualified for the Gold Final and so will have one eye on the trophy. They have the luxury of resting some key players from this final preliminary fixture.

Musa Ahmad is the leading run-scorer in Capelle across all teams. He struck the only century in the series to date, an imposing 104 off only 37 balls against Excelsior – an innings that saw him go from 50 to 100 in only ten balls! It will be interesting to see if he fires in this match, or if he saves his best work for the final.
Mudassar Bukhari is the captain and perhaps Sparta’s most explosive batsman. He knows how to clear the boundaries and is likely to bat in the number four position. He is also a useful bowler, expect him to deliver his two overs in this match and look to pick up a wicket or two.
Usman Saleem had amazing figures of 4 for 8 in his only appearance so far. Could he be a wild card going into Finals Friday.
Team Preview for Voorburg CC
Voorburg are a better team than their 1-4 record will suggest. They have a number of talented all-rounders and although they are resigned to playing for bronze later in the day, I think they will be very hungry to get a win over Sparta in this match.

Bas de Leede is “THE PRINCE OF VOORBURG”. The captain can be expected to open the batting and is his team’s leading run scorer this week. He would love to start his Friday with a big innings.
Aryan Dutt looks to be a very talented player. He will bat in the top order and send down a couple of overs of his off spinners.
Sajjad Kamal is Voorburg’s leading wicket-taker this week. He has six victims at an excellent economy rate of only seven runs per over.

UPSET ALERT! It’s a big call, but with Sparta 1888 already qualified for the final, I think that they may take the opportunity to rest some players and basically not approach this match with the normal intensity. On the other hand Voorburg will be desperate to square the ledger with Sparta after their loss in the opening match of the series. It’s really tough to tip against a team containing Musa Ahmad in such hot form, but I’m doing it. Voorburg to cause an upset in the first match of the day. I think Sparta will recover though, and see them holding the trophy aloft at the end of the day.
