The European Cricket Network live broadcasts the 2020 European Cricket Series Bulgaria encounter between Indian Tuskers and Barbarian CC.

PREVIEW: MATCH 16 – Indian Tuskers v Barbarian CC – European Cricket Series Bulgaria

Tune in to the live action Thursday from 8am CEST * 7am UK * 6am GMT * 11:30am IST from the National Sports Academy Vasil Levski ground in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Team Preview for Indian Tuskers

The Tuskers have only one win from five matches and have a tenuous grip on fourth place. They can secure a place in Finals Friday by winning this game against the Barbarians.

Captain: Romald Lazarus

Main Wicketkeeper: Nithin Sunil

Key Players:

Fayyas Mohammad has been the most reliable bat for the Tuskers, scoring 155 runs in the series with a high score of 64. He is yet to take a wicket but he will be hoping that he can pick up one or two in this match.

Akshay Harikumar generally likes to bat number three and hasn’t disgraced himself this series. He is their second-highest run-scorer and their leading wicket-taker this week in Bulgaria.

Nithin Sunil has looked good at times but his best innings of 20 defies his talent. The former Kerala representative player will hope to go on with it in this game.

Romald Lazarus has done an admirable job leading his troops into some difficult battles this week. If they can with this one then they book a place in the final four, where anything can happen!

Team Preview for Barbarian CC

The Barbarians have an number of native Bulgarian cricketers who will be relishing the chance to play in this European Cricket Series. They can still make Finals Friday, but would need to win this match against the Tuskers to have any chance.

Captain: Stuart Clarkson

Main Wicketkeeper: Jevon Payne

Key Players:

Tom Omolo has been the most impressive of the Barbarian batsmen. He is their leading run-scorer and six-hitter. Hopefully he can send a few over the ropes and carry his team to a competitive score in this winnable match.

Boyko Ivanov bats in the top order and can also bowl a couple of overs. He has been steadily improving and I would like to see him make a good score.

Stuart Clarkson is to be commended for his leadership and his passion for developing native Bulgarian talent. On the field he has toiled manfully – he is currently the Barbarians’ second top-scorer with the bat, and leading wicket-taker with the ball.

Jevon Payne is a solid keeper-batsman. This match presents the perfect opportunity for him to take it up a notch.

Mr Maximo’s tip: INDIAN TUSKERS

This is the match that could decide the last remaining spot for Finals Friday and although I have enjoyed watching the development of Barbarian CC, I think the Tuskers will be too powerful for them in this match. I expect Indian Tuskers to win and cement their place in the top four. Catch all the action Thursday, there’s five T10 matches live on the European Cricket Network!
