The European Cricket Network live broadcasts the 2020 European Cricket Series Barcelona November encounter between Fateh and Catalunya Tigers.

PREVIEW: MATCH 33 – Fateh v Catalunya Tigers – European Cricket Series Barcelona November

Tune in to the live action Thursday from 8:30am CET * 7:30am UK/GMT * 1pm IST from the Montjuïc ground in Barcelona, Spain.

Team Preview for Fateh

Fateh CC had some good moments last month when they could boast a winning record but they’ve been few and far between in this series. Without a win in six matches, they are rooted to the bottom of the ladder. They will hope to salvage some pride from their last day of action at the European Cricket Series this year.

Captain: Manjinder Singh-Lovely

Main Wicketkeeper: Manish Kumar-Tokhi

Key Players:

Manjinder Singh-Lovely has tried his best to keep his troops motivated despite it being a terrible patch of form for Fateh. He has kept going out there and leading from the front but it’s hard to see him leading his team to a victory in this series.

Manish Kumar-Tokhi has had one promising innings of 22 but not delivered too much else of note with the bat. He’ll have the job behind the wickets for Fateh CC.

Happy Singh is their leading run scorer in November, but he's only scored 61 of them in five matches - that probably sums up the Fateh batting in this tournament. He does have a half-century in the previous European Cricket Series and would love to produce something in their final two matches.

Team Preview for Catalunya Tigers

The campaign of Catalunya Tigers CC was looking a little shaky after their loss to Badalona Shaheen, but impressive wins over Falco and Catalunya CC (the two finalists from the October series) have catapulted the Tigers into contention. They look like they should make the final four but can’t drop the ball on the final day of preliminary matches!

Captain: Ghulam Sarwar

Main Wicketkeeper: Sufian Ansar

Key Players:

Aziz Mohammad was picked up by the Tigers from UCC Girona and he's certainly been a good investment, in fact in my opinion I think he’s been one of the the outstanding players of this tournament. He's the leading run-scorer AND wicket-taker for the Tigers and has been one of the main reasons that his new team are in finals contention.  His 76*(26) in the Catalan derby was just next level stuff, leading to a memorable victory over rivals Catalunya CC.

Davinder Singh Kaur was the leading run-scorer for the Catalunya Tigers last month and he’s been pretty good again with 129 runs including a best of 57 not out. Expect him to open the innings.

Mohsin Ali is a bit of a wild card. He likes to give the ball a thump and has cleared the fences more than a few times over the course of this series. Keep an eye on this guy because I see him hitting his straps come finals time.

Mr Maximo’s tip: CATALUNYA TIGERS

Fateh have struggled from pillar to post in this European Cricket Series and I don’t see any Thursday miracles this time. The Catalunya Tigers have picked up steam after their loss to Badalona Shaheen with impressive wins in their last two matches. I see the Tigers dismantling their prey with ease in this one, the first of four matches on Thursday’s European Cricket Series calendar, and the last day before Finals Friday fever hits Barcelona!
