The European Cricket Network’s return to Landskrona, Sweden delivered a week of thrilling cricket as Ariana CC and Malmohus-W emerged champions in their respective events, closing out a landmark tour for Swedish cricket.

In the men’s competition, it was a familiar rivalry renewed as Ariana CC faced off against Ariana KIF in the final — a repeat of the ECS Malmö 2020 finale. This time, Ariana CC turned the tables with a composed performance, posting 119 runs batting first. Ariana KIF began the chase positively but faltered under pressure, losing wickets at regular intervals and being bowled out in the 9th over, 26 runs short of the target. Despite the loss, Naser Baluch of Ariana KIF was named MVP for his consistent all-round brilliance throughout the tournament.

In a historic first, ECS-W Sweden, Landskrona saw two women’s teams – Malmohus-W and Goteburg-W – battle it out in a 4-match series, marking the debut of women’s franchise cricket in Sweden. Malmohus-W showcased complete dominance, securing a 4-0 series sweep. Star all-rounder Kanchan Rana led the way and was rightfully awarded MVP for her impactful performances with both bat and ball.

The tour not only provided top-quality cricket but also marked an important step forward for women’s cricket in Sweden, adding another exciting chapter to ECN’s growing presence across Europe.

With strong rivalries, standout talents, and memorable performances, Landskrona once again proved to be a special destination for European cricket.
