The European Cricket Series made its exciting debut in the vibrant capital of Spain with ECS Spain, Madrid, delivering six days of explosive cricket, dramatic finishes, and unforgettable moments at La Elipa. It was the first-ever ECN event in Madrid, and it certainly lived up to expectations.

Five teams—some debuting, others returning—battled fiercely throughout the tournament. Getafe emerged as the standout side in the group stages, topping the table and earning a direct spot in the final with their consistency and balanced performances.

Sonseca Sultans, finishing second, moved into the Qualifier, while Madrid Stars and Madrid CC faced off in the Eliminator. It was Madrid CC who turned heads with two back-to-back thrilling run chases, including hunting down 170 in the Eliminator and 133 in the Qualifier to book a place in the final.

However, the highly anticipated final clash between Getafe and Madrid CC ended in disappointment as rain washed out the match. With Getafe finishing higher in the group stage, they were deservedly awarded the ECS Spain, Madrid title.

Despite the weather interruption, fans were treated to some brilliant individual performances—none more impressive than Chaitanya Sharma of Madrid CC, who scored a staggering 437 runs across the tournament and was rightfully named the Most Valuable Player.

ECS Spain, Madrid marked another significant step in ECN’s journey to bring cricket to every corner of Europe, and this thrilling debut in Madrid promises to be just the beginning.
