The European Cricket Network (ECN) is thrilled to announce its debut event in the Spanish capital – ECS Spain, Madrid. Set to take place at the picturesque La Elipa ground, this exciting new chapter kicks off on Monday, April 7, and runs through Saturday, April 12.
This marks the first-ever ECN event in Madrid, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring high-octane 10-over cricket to one of Europe’s most iconic cities. The tournament will feature five competitive teams, with three familiar sides - Madrid CC, Madrid United and Getafe, returning to the ECN stage and two fresh entrants - Madrid Stars and Sonseca Sultans, making their highly anticipated debuts.
Fans can look forward to seeing some familiar faces from past ECN competitions, including the ever-reliable Surya Balu, the hard-hitting Omar Ali, and the experienced Kamran Raja — all set to bring their trademark flair to Madrid.
The event will follow ECN’s signature fast-paced format, offering six days of thrilling cricket, intense matchups, and explosive performances. With new teams, a new city, and a vibrant cricketing atmosphere, ECS Spain, Madrid promises to be a standout addition to the European cricket calendar.
Stay tuned for live matches, exclusive content, and behind-the-scenes access as we celebrate this exciting new milestone for European cricket in Madrid.
