The European Cricket Network is proud to announce its first-ever tour to Jersey, and it couldn’t come at a more meaningful time. In collaboration with Jersey Cricket, ECN will host two exciting ECS events under the name ECS Jersey, Liberation Series and ECS-W Jersey, Liberation Series – a tribute to the island's 80th anniversary of Liberation Day.

On May 9, 2025, Jersey will commemorate eight decades since it regained its freedom after nearly five years of German occupation during World War II. To mark this historic occasion, the island will welcome the ECN for a week of thrilling T10 cricket at a brand-new venue - National Cricket Centre, Grainville.

The Men’s Event – May 5 to May 9

The ECS Jersey, Liberation Series kicks off on Monday, May 5, running through to Friday, May 9. Five teams will take part – four franchise-based squads - Central Commanders, Western Towers, Eastern Royals, and Southern Spitfires, joined by Yorkshire Cricket College, adding a strong development flavour to the event. Fans can expect top-class action from familiar names like Julius Sumerauer, Zak Tribe, Toby Britton, and Charlie Brennan – all of whom have previously represented Jersey in ECL and ECC events.

The Women’s Event – May 10 and 11

Following the men’s competition, it’s time for the women to take centre stage over the weekend. The ECS-W Jersey, Liberation Series will be contested by three sides: Western Towers-W, Eastern Royals-W, and MCC Women. Several stars from Jersey’s victorious ECC-W Challenger campaign return, including skipper Chloe Greechan, Grace Wetherall, Trinity Smith, and Analise Merritt.

This will be only the third-ever ECS Women’s event and the first time women’s cricket takes the spotlight in Jersey under the ECN banner. The series promises not just exciting cricket but a strong message of growth, inclusion, and national pride.

Jersey’s Liberation Series is more than a cricket tournament – it’s a celebration of freedom, resilience, and sporting unity. The European Cricket Network is honoured to be part of this momentous occasion and looks forward to delivering world-class cricket in a truly historic setting.
