The European Cricket Network is thrilled to return to the historic city of Bologna, Italy, for a special double-header tour featuring both men's and women's European Cricket Series (ECS) action.

The tour kicks off with ECS Italy, Bologna, which began on April 13 at the picturesque Fabio Fabbri Cricket Ground. This men’s event features 8 competitive teams, split into two groups, battling it out in a 28-match schedule—comprising 24 league games followed by 4 intense playoff clashes. The tournament will run through April 18, promising non-stop cricketing entertainment.

Following the men’s action, the spotlight will shine on the women as ECS-W Italy, Bologna takes centre stage. Starting April 19, this tournament marks the first women's ECS event of 2025 and only the second women's ECS ever. Featuring Italia Nord-W and Italia Sud-W, the two sides will compete in four matches across two days, showcasing the growing strength and reach of women’s cricket in Europe.

This marks ECN’s first visit to Bologna since 2022, when Cricket Stars lifted the trophy. While they won’t be part of this edition, a new champion will rise as Bologna once again becomes the heartbeat of European cricket.
