The European Cricket Network’s return to Bologna was nothing short of spectacular, delivering high-quality cricket, standout performances, and historic moments in both the men’s and women’s games.
After a two-year break, ECS Italy, Bologna made a grand return, and it was Panjab who walked away with the trophy. In a dominant display in the final, Panjab's bowling attack dismantled a strong Fresh Tropical side, bowling them out for just 83 runs. The chase was clinical as Panjab hunted down the target in under 7 overs, sealing their second ECS title in style — having previously triumphed in Brescia last year.
The tournament witnessed some breathtaking performances, none more so than Zain Naqvi’s record-breaking 160* off just 37 balls, which now stands as the third-highest individual score in ECS history. However, it was Arvind Kumar’s brilliance and consistency with the bat that earned him the MVP award, playing a key role in Panjab’s march to the title.

Following the men’s competition, the focus shifted to ECS-W Italy, Bologna, featuring Italia Nord-W and Italia Sud-W in only the second-ever Women’s ECS event. Day 1 saw both teams share the spoils with a win each, setting up a thrilling conclusion on Day 2.
But it was Italia Sud-W who found their rhythm when it mattered most, winning both matches on the final day to seal the series 3-1. The team showcased great spirit and teamwork, and their efforts were led by Dilaisha Nanayakkara, who was rightfully named MVP of the tournament.
