The European Cricket Series (ECS) Germany, Kiel delivered five days of action-packed cricket from August 18 to August 22, showcasing thrilling performances, rising talents, and unforgettable moments.
Across 20 league matches split between two groups, four teams emerged as the best of the lot to reach Finals Day — KSV Kings, 1.Kieler HTC, SG Findorff, and VFB Fallersleben.
In the Eliminator, 1.Kieler HTC fell short, bowing out of the tournament. KSV Kings, showing their dominance early, booked a direct ticket to the final by winning Qualifier 1. SG Findorff battled through Qualifier 2, setting up a much-anticipated clash against KSV Kings — a rematch of the famous ECS Kummerfeld 2020 final.
Batting first, SG Findorff struggled to get going, managing just 82 runs on the board. In response, KSV Kings showcased their batting power, chasing down the target in only 7 overs, sealing yet another memorable ECS title.
For SG Findorff, this was a case of history repeating itself — their third ECN final loss, and their second defeat in a final against KSV Kings.
Despite his side not making the final, VFB Fallersleben’s Yogesh Pai emerged as the standout performer of the tournament. He was rightfully crowned MVP after an exceptional all-round display, scoring 197 runs and picking up 8 wickets.
