ECN’s recent tour to Belgium was packed with drama, passion, and top-tier cricket as ECS Belgium and ECS-W Belgium took center stage at the stunning Stars Arena Hofstade, Zemst. Returning to Belgium for the third time this year, the tour proved once again that cricket in the region continues to flourish.

In the men’s tournament, Brussels Bashers emerged as champions after a dominant display in the final against Hasselt Titans. Batting first, the Titans struggled to gain momentum and managed just 106 runs in their 10 overs. The Bashers, determined and clinical, chased down the target with ease in 8.3 overs, securing a comfortable and well-deserved victory.

Salarzai Israel stood out throughout the tournament with the ball and was rightfully named MVP for finishing as the top wicket-taker with 13 wickets.

The women’s event saw four competitive sides in action, but it was French Eiffels who stole the spotlight. Representing France, the Eiffels remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, notching up four wins, including a strong showing in the final against Luxembourg Mullerthals.

Batting first, the French side posted 85 runs and followed it up with a disciplined bowling performance to bowl out their opponents for just 67 runs, lifting the ECS-W Belgium title in style.

Despite finishing runner-up, Siofra Lawlor of Luxembourg Mullerthals was awarded MVP for her consistent brilliance with the bat, scoring 116 runs, the highest in the tournament.
