HISTORYMAKER - Eden Wardle makes history with first ever hat trick at Dream11 European Cricket Series St Gallen

Starring for Zurich Crickets on the opening day of the Dream11 European Cricket Series St. Gallen, 16-year-old left-armer Eden Wardle hit the headlines with a hat-trick to end the St Gallen innings - taking a wicket with every ball he bowled for the startling figures of 3-0 off three deliveries.

“I’ve been playing in Switzerland for the past six years after moving from the Manchester area in England,” Eden said.

“I became involved in the Basel Dragons youth team along with James West who is now a teammate at the Zurich Crickets. We trained quite often with coaches coming from England such as Scott Newman and Carl Greenidge to help with our skills.”

Speaking about his experience of the Dream11 European Cricket Series St Gallen: “It’s a fantastic competition to be involved in. Having not experienced any T10 cricket before, it’s a great opportunity to play this format of the game. It was nice to hit my areas under pressure and absolutely unbelievable to take my first ever hat-trick,” Eden added.
