PSV had a very interesting first day of the tournament, upsetting both KSV and Findorff in incredible cricket matches. The lost their way in the final match, going down to MTV Stallions to finish with two wins out of three for the day. With their last two preliminary matches on the Tuesday, it’s their last chance to entrench themselves in the top four.

Adeel Ahmad played the innings off his life against Findorff on Day 1, scoring 119 not out off only 39 balls, including 13 sixes. He was instrumental in PSV scoring 100 runs off the final five overs to pull off a miraculous victory. After coming back to Earth with a duck in the final match of the day, I’m expecting him to go large against SC Europa.
Nader Khan-Rahmany was very impressive on the first day, snaring four wickets at the miserly economy rate of 6.68. He will hope to provide equally useful performances on the second day of the tournament.
Awal Khan-Safi is a very attacking fast bowler, but saved his team with the bat against KSV, scoring an invaluable 29 not out to guide his team to the target of 54 after coming in at a precarious 6 for 4. He will want to do some damage with the ball.

SC Europa enter the tournament short of runs in the T10 format this season, averaging only 8.13 runs per over in their three losses in the Hannover Hitout, played in early June. Can they find a way to score the boundaries they need to be competitive?

Key Players:
Hikamullah Shinwari is a big inclusion for SC Europa. He is one player who can hit a long ball, and they will be relying on him to steer them to an imposing score.
Dawood Khan Aryubi is an exciting young cricketer, and part of the current Under 19 national setup. He led their run scoring in the Hannover Hitout and will need to step up again this week.
Ghulam Akbar Dargey was their leading wicket taker in the Hannover Hitout, and will carries the responsibility of keeping the PSV big hitters at bay.

I think the loss to MTV was just the wake up call PSV required to get them motivated to put on a good performance against SC Europa. I don’t think SC Europa have the firepower to go with PSV and so I’m predicting PSV to win in a canter. Watch out for another big knock from Adeel Ahmad.
