Episode 26 of European Cricket Stories brings another familiar face into the studio. 🎙️

ECN Founder Daniel Weston sits down with James Kantor, ECN Head of Operations, for a conversation that traces a lifelong connection to sport and cricket across continents.

James shares his earliest memories of backyard cricket in New Zealand and playing his first proper match at just seven years old for North Shore Cricket Club, one of the oldest cricket clubs in New Zealand. Alongside cricket, he also played rugby, growing up immersed in sport and competition.

The conversation follows James’s journey from New Zealand to the United States and Canada, before eventually moving to Germany with his partner. It was there that he joined Munich Cricket Club, a move that would lead to meeting Daniel and becoming part of the European Cricket Network story.

This episode reflects on how cricket builds community, creates unexpected connections and continues to shape lives far from where it all began.
