Today we gave an official warning to a player and team which breached the code of conduct in the Players and Match Officials Area (PMOA) with a player’s use of a mobile phone while his team was batting.
We will not tolerate such behaviour. Immediate action was taken with regards to the use of the phone which contravenes the measures that were taken before the event had taken place.
These are new regulations for many of these players and we will continue to educate all players and match officials taking part to learn and understand the standards that are expected of them when playing in broadcasted cricket events.
We are fully committed to growing the game and upholding its integrity.
