Norway all-rounder Walid Ghauri created history on Thursday, becoming the first player in T10 International cricket history to take a hat-trick. The trio of wickets came in the Dream11 European Cricket Championshipgame between Spain and Norway.
Chasing 133 to win, the game was a lost cause for Spain by the final over when the hosts had still not reached the three-figure mark. However, the match still captured huge interest as Walid Ghauri devastatingly mopped up the tail with three wickets in three balls. He dismissed Zulqarnain Haider in the first ball of the last over and then had Thomas Vine caught, before cleaning up Adeel Raja to complete his hat-trick! His final figures made for impressive reading - 1.3-0-10-3 and all with his wife watching from the stands.
Walid Ghauri had earlier made a serious impression on the opening two days of the Dream11 European Cricket Championship. He picked up two wickets in the game against Sweden and then scored 39 off 23 balls against Spain. On day two, he made a spectacular 25-ball 57against Belgium to win the Player of the Match award.
