SAM PEARCE SETS THE STANDARD TOP WICKETTAKER AT DREAM11 EUROPEAN CRICKET CHAMPIONSHIP

Sam Pearce stole the show with some fabulous slow bowling at the Dream11 European Cricket Championship.

The Wales captain played for Glamorgan in the T20 Blast and Royal London One Day Cup this summer, also leading his country to the semi-finals of the NCCA 50overs competition.

Pearce picked up 23 wickets in just 23.5 overs to finish top wicket taker in the tournament, one ahead of MVP Clayton Floyd. Pearce's best return came against the Czech Republic with a three wicket burst.

The Wales star also contributed with vital runs when needed, hitting a crucial unbeaten 28 off 10 balls in a memorable win for the eventual winners against a tough Netherlands side.
