Autocares Mateos - The Driving Force behind European Cricket Championship

  1.   Who are you and what is your role within your company?

     My name is Juan Mateos and I am the CEO of Autocares Mateos.

 

  1. What is your favorite sporting activity and why?

     I am not a huge sportsman but I do enjoy Basketball.

 

  1. Tell us a bit about your company history/organisation? When was it founded? How did it all start? 

     Autocares Mateos was created in 1925, but the passenger transport activity of the Mateos family started at the end of the 19th century.

 

  1. Do you feel your company has any unique or special characteristics you would like to share with us?

     It has a spirit of perfection. We like to do things properly.

 

  1. What effect do you think the European Cricket Championship has on the region and your business?

     For the Malaga region it is positive. Although cricket is not a sport widely practiced by Spaniards, there are many residents, mainly British, who are interested in it. However, an event of this magnitude is always positive for any region. For our company, it is a challenge as we have to cater for many visitors of many nationalities with a schedule to keep to and we are keen to over-deliver as a service provider.
