Team Preview for Bohemian CC

Bohemian CC started the tournament with a very impressive win against Prague Barbarians Visigoths, chasing down the target of 62 in only 6 overs.  In their second outing against Prague CC Kings, they looked gone for all money before turning it around to reach the target with three balls to spare.

Captain: Javed Iqbal

Main Wicket-Keeper: Muhammed Nabeel

Key Players:

Saqlain Saqib Mukhtar can be explosive with the bat.  With an impressive knock of 26 off only 12 balls in his opening innings of the ECN Czech Super Series, he can hit them high and handsome!

Sazib Bhuiyan orchestrated a dramatic collapse at the end of the Visigoths innings in Match 2, taking an astounding 4 for 3 off his two overs as the Visigoths lost their last seven wickets for only five runs.  Against Prague CC Kings, his 20 run burst in four balls was the catalyst for a stunning comeback victory.

Javed Iqbal has ice in his veins!  His knock of 21 off only 14 balls was instrumental in the victory over the Kings, and he really kept his cool in the last over to guide his side to the target.

Team Preview for United CC

United had their moments on Day 1 of the tournament, but came up empty-handed in their two matches. They will be hoping to upset Bohemians to stay in the mix.

Captain: Neelesh Pandit

Main Wicket-Keeper: Abhimanyu Singh

Key Players:

Abhimanyu Singh held his team’s batting together on Day 1.  His back to back innings of 35 were vital to United posting respectable scores.

Shyamal Joshi is probably United’s best batsman technically, but struggled to get going in his first two innings of the tournament.  Let’s hope he can adapt to the shorter format.

Mustafa Nawab looked good in taking 2 for 21 against PCC Kings opening the bowling.  He’ll be hoping for early wickets in this one!

Mr Maximo’s tip: Bohemian CC

I can’t see United pulling it together in time to stop Bohemian’s run to the back end of the tournament.  So Bohemian is my tip in this game!
