The European Cricket Network live broadcasts the 2020 Dream11 European Cricket Series St Gallen encounter between Zurich Nomads and Power CC.

PREVIEW: MATCH 16 – Zurich Nomads vs Power CC – Dream11 European Cricket Series St Gallen

Tune in to the live action Thursday from 9am CEST * 8am UK * 7am GMT * 12:30pm IST from the Grundenmoos ground in the city of St Gallen, Switzerland.

Team Preview for Zurich Nomads

They were highly fancied to take out this tournament, but a slip up to Olten CC on the first day has seen them relinquish the favourites tag in the eyes of many observers.  They will want to win all three of their remaining games on the Thursday to finish in second place and take winning form into Finals Friday.

Captain: Azeem Nazir

Main Wicket-Keeper: Asvin Lakkaraju

Key Players:

Faheem Nazir is considered by many to be the finest batsman in the country.  He has performed well in the matches so far, but I think he can go up another gear in the final two days of this tournament.

Hassan Ahmad impressed many with his big hitting for Brescia in ECL19, but so far hasn’t really been able to replicate that form for the Nomads in the ECS.  I think Thursday could be the day that he breaks the shackles.

Shijo Joseph is the tournament’s leading wicket taker, despite only playing three games to date.  Also possessing an economy rate of under a run-a-ball, he will be a handful for the Power batsmen to contend with.

Team Preview for Power CC

Like Zurich Nomads, Power have won two out of their three matches so far, and complete their preliminary fixtures with three games on the Thursday. They will be desperate to get one up on the Nomads in this possible prequel to a semi-final clash.

Captain: Safiat ullah Sajid

Main Wicket-Keeper: Izhar Shinvari

Key Players:

Osama Mahmood is a very talented player and probably the Power’s best batsman.  If he gets set they will post a huge score and be hard to beat.

Ashfaq Ahmad and Asad Mahmood are the team’s ‘Power Banks’.  Between them they have hit 138 runs, with 96 of those runs in maximos!

Baljinder SIngh impressed with 3 for 9 in his only appearance so far, so let’s see if he can continue that form into the business end of the week.

Mr Maximo tip: ZURICH NOMADS

This is an extremely difficult game to call, which probably means that it will be a cracking game to watch!  With both sides boasting a plethora of big hitting muscle, I predict a high scoring contest.  This game could genuinely go either way, but for me I think Faheem Nazir will lead the Nomads to victory and turn the Power off.
