Team Preview for Seaside CC
Seaside started their tournament with a win over Älmhult CC. They chased down the target of 102 in the eighth over with relative ease. The second day of the series is ‘Super Tuesday’ when they play three of their six preliminary matches.

Key Players:
Mokhtar Ghulami is THE BEAST. He hit a giant maximo off the first ball he faced and was brutal on the Älmhult bowlers in his 33 off 12 balls. He puts the power in powerplay and I would love him to activate BEAST MODE on Day 2. Take cover!
Rubal Pathak looked a class player in their opening match. He guided the chase home expertly, compiling 39 not out off only 16 balls and was ruthless on any bad balls.
Zahoor Sabir looks like a smart cricketer to me. He is a flexible player with bat or ball in hand and can adapt his game to the situation at hand. I think he’ll be a valuable asset to Seaside this week.
Umair Chaudary will likely open the batting again. After the skipper made a golden duck in his first innings, I wouldn’t be surprised if he made up for it with some big runs on Super Tuesday.
Team Preview for Jönköping CA
Jönköping CA have had mixed results in short-form cricket in limited appearances so far in 2020 and will have their hands full in their opening match of the tournament against a Seaside team that bats deep. They also play three of their six round robin matches on their own Super Tuesday.

Key Players:
Naser Bacha is a young player with a lot of talent. He will probably bat 3 and is a very hard hitter. His medium pacers are very effective and he has a well-disguised slower ball. In the field he has very safe hands, which is so important in this form of the game!
Muhammad Ismail leads the side and is a star all-round performer. Some recent back issues have curtailed his bowling, but we are likely to see him open the batting and look to get them off to a fast start.
Sahargul Shirzad is a very skilful inswing bowler. He will take the new ball and with it, the responsibility to remove Seaside’s dangerous openers before the game gets away.
Bhavya Patel is an attacking option with the ball. His aggressive approach will make for excellent viewing as the opposition will no doubt be going for all out attack too.
Mr Maximo’s tip: SEASIDE CC
This promises to be a great game, with some really big hitters and skilful cricketers on both sides. I think Seaside has the edge just because of the depth in their batting order. It allows their batsmen to keep attacking and not worry too much about getting out, because they’ve got the resources to keep scoring at a high run rate. If Jönköping’s stars get going, they could easily pull off a victory in this game, but my prediction is Seaside to start Super Tuesday off with victory in a high-scoring match.
