After a patchy start for Pinatar, opener Abbas Saqlemm batted through the innings for an undefeated half century (58 off 28 balls 2x4,7x6), ably supported by double figure efforts from Kuldeep Lal and the Singhs, Lovejit and Balwant.
Hassan Askari was the pick of the Intellectuals bowlers with an impressive 3-8 off his two overs. Admittedly, the Intellectuals faded in the field after the opening overs as the Pirates proceeded to a decent total of 117. In reply, the Intellectuals batsmen never really got into their stride with only openers Usman Baig (18 off 13 balls) and Umair Akram (19 off 14 balls) making any sort of genuine contribution.
