Dream comes true. Launching the new Dream11 European Cricket Series!

The European Cricket League (ECL) and the European Cricket Network (ECN) are delighted to introduce Dream11 as title sponsor for the new Dream11 European Cricket Series which commences on March 2, including 400 matches from 100 matchdays of exciting T10 cricket all across Europe, making it potentially one of the largest broadcasted TV cricket events in the world.

Cricket Espana will host the first Dream11 European Cricket Series from March 2-6 at Woodbridge Oval in Albir in Spain. Six teams will take part including the hosts Sporting Alfas, Intellectuals (Alicante), La Manga, Levante (Valencia), Madrid United and the Pinatar Pirates.

The fresh venture, known exclusively as the “Dream11 European Cricket Series” will run all over Europe throughout the year, promising 20 weeks of high-octane T10 cricket, with 400 matches and 100 matchdays.

Apart from being the ‘Official Fantasy Game’, Dream11, India’s biggest fantasy sports platform, will also act as ‘Title Sponsor’ for Dream11 European Cricket Series matches. The partnership further strengthens Dream11’s association with the ECN and ECL, following the successful inaugural edition of the European Cricket League (ECL19) played at the La Manga Club in Spain last year.

“The concept for the Dream11 European Cricket Series has emerged following the success of the first edition of the European Cricket League last summer,” said Daniel Weston, Founder of the ECL.
“The European Cricket League will remain as the “Champions League of European Cricket” and the new Dream11 European Cricket Series will definitely ignite domestic European Cricket as well.
“I greatly appreciate the efforts and innovative thinking of everyone at Dream11 to make this partnership a reality. Dream11 understands our vision to ignite domestic cricket in Europe as fast as possible so that we can reach our long-term goal of making cricket the number one summer team sport in Europe.”

Starting on Monday March 2, the first Dream11 European Cricket Series tournament provides an opportunity for six teams from Spain to showcase their skills, while numerous Spanish internationals can fine tune their game before meeting Germany in a two-match T20I series on March 8.

Of course, Dream11, India’s biggest fantasy sports platform, will also remain as the Official Fantasy Game Partner of the European Cricket League to be played for the second time - ECL20 - from May 31 - June 7 at La Manga Club in Spain.

Talking about European Cricket, a Dream11 spokesperson said: “Cricket in Europe is currently played in small pockets with a limited set of audience. After the inaugural edition of ECL, we saw great uptake in the format, especially within Dream11 users and realized that European Cricket has a great potential to grow and eventually compete at the international level. We are happy to deepen our partnership with ECN and work towards building European cricket.”
