ECS Portugal, Battleborn Cup, 2026 delivered five match days of T10 drama at Santarem Cricket Ground, with Santarém Stallions finishing the completed club event as champions. Across 20 completed matches in Santarem, Portugal, the scoring was fierce, the maximos flew, and the final produced the tournament’s biggest chase.

Santarém Stallions finish the job in Santarem

The ECS Portugal, Battleborn Cup, 2026 ran from Monday 31 August 2026 to Friday 4 September 2026, bringing together five senior men’s club teams under the ECS banner at Santarem Cricket Ground.

And when the dust settled, it was Santarém Stallions who stood tallest.

Their title moment came in the Final, where they pulled off the event’s highest run chase, hunting down 145 against Amadora Royals by 8 wickets with 4 balls to spare. In a tournament where teams batting first won 65% of matches, that chase was a statement finish from the champions.

It wrapped up a packed 20-match competition in style, and a completed event that gave fans in Santarem plenty to enjoy.

Batting stars light up the Battleborn Cup

Balwinder Singh of Amadora Royals finished as the leading run-scorer, piling up 364 runs in 10 matches. They were also the event’s top maximo hitter, clearing the rope 38 times across 8 matches.

That all-round impact helped Balwinder Singh earn recognition as the Most Valuable Player of ECS Portugal, Battleborn Cup, 2026. Playing for Amadora Royals in Santarem, they scored 364 runs from 122 balls, batted in 10 matches, averaged 36.4, and struck at a blistering 298.4. A huge 63.0% of their runs came through fours and maximos, and their maximo rate was an extraordinary 18.7 per ten overs.

Their standout batting display was 81 from 25 balls for Amadora Royals against Santarém Stallions on Tuesday 1 September 2026, a knock that included their event-best 8 maximos in a match. The best bowling figures of the event came from Pinku Chahal of Odivelas Titans, who produced a stunning spell of 4/2 in 1.1 overs against Lisbon Warriors in Match 5.

Wickets fell regularly throughout the tournament, with 219 dismissals overall. That worked out to 22.1 runs per dismissal and 5.7 dismissals per ten overs, keeping matches moving fast and giving fielding sides regular reasons to roar.

Cartaxo Tuskers also claimed one of the grittiest wins of the event, defending just 98 against Amadora Royals in Match 3 to win by 16 runs — the lowest total successfully defended in the competition.

Santarém Stallions had more than just batting and bowling strength on their way to the title — they also owned the fielding charts.

Roushan Singh of Santarém Stallions was the top keeper, recording 15 dismissals in 9 matches. That included 9 catches as wicketkeeper, 4 stumpings and 2 run-outs.

Khalid Usman, also of Santarém Stallions, finished as the top fielder with 8 dismissals in 5 matches, all of them catches, with 0 run-outs.
