The ECS Portugal, Battleborn Cup, 2026 arrives at Santarem Cricket Ground with five senior men’s club sides all stepping onto the ECN stage for the first time. With 21 matches packed across five match days, Portugal Cricket has a fresh storyline ready to unfold in Santarem, Portugal.
A Fresh ECS Field in Portugal
The ECS Portugal, Battleborn Cup, 2026 gets going on Monday 31 August 2026 and runs through to Friday 4 September 2026, bringing the ECS spotlight to Santarem Cricket Ground.
This Portugal Cricket event is a senior men’s clubs competition, and the five-team field has a beautifully open feel: Lisbon Warriors, Amadora Royals, Odivelas Titans, Santarém Stallions and Cartaxo Tuskers are all newcomers to ECN competition.
The rankings line them up tightly. Lisbon Warriors enter at 4,656, Amadora Royals at 4,657, Odivelas Titans at 4,658, Santarém Stallions at 4,659 and Cartaxo Tuskers at 4,660.
Even the team ratings keep things level. Every side carries an ECN team rating of 49, with batting, bowling and fielding all also rated at 49 for Lisbon Warriors, Amadora Royals, Odivelas Titans, Santarém Stallions and Cartaxo Tuskers. On paper, it could hardly be more balanced.
History Leaves the Door Open
There is plenty of Portuguese ECS history around this event, but none of the previous winners listed are part of this Battleborn Cup field.
Malo won the ECS Portugal, 2024 and also claimed the ECS Portugal (Premier), 2026. Lisbon Super Giants won the ECS Portugal, Challenger, 2025, while Fighters CC took the ECS Portugal (Challenger), 2026.
With Malo, Lisbon Super Giants and Fighters CC absent from the current line-up, the stage is wide open for one of these five fresh ECN sides to make the competition their own.
Santarém Stallions Bring Big ECN Names
Santarém Stallions may be making their team debut, but their squad carries serious ECN pedigree.
Junaid Khan is the most experienced player in the event with 172 ECN matches, and he also arrives as the leading wicket-taker among players involved, with 151 wickets in ECN events.
Conrad Greenshields adds another huge storyline for the Stallions. He has scored the most ECN runs of any player in the event, with 3,989, and has also struck the most maximos among the field, with 301.
Kamrul Islam gives Santarém even more star power, holding the highest ECN batter rating among players involved at 98, as well as the highest ECN bowling rating at 87.
Cartaxo Tuskers Loaded With Firepower
Cartaxo Tuskers have several standout names of their own.
Muhammad Adnan owns the best ECN bowling strike rate among players in the event, striking every 7.0 balls.
Hardeep Khuttan is another major watch. He has the highest batting strike rate in the field at 216.0, the highest maximo rate at 13.5, and the best bowling figures among players involved: 6/18 in 3.0 overs for Malo against Gorkha XI on 14 Jun 2026.
Amandeep Singh also brings a headline batting memory, having made the highest individual score by a player in this event field: 98 off 38 balls for Lisbon Super Giants against Miranda Dragons on 21 May 2024.
Amadora Royals Have a Manpreet Factor
Amadora Royals’ key numbers run through Manpreet Singh, who owns the highest batting average among players in the event at 88.5.
He is just as important with the ball, carrying the best ECN bowling average at 8.4 and the best economy rate at 5.3 among all players involved.
What to Watch
With 21 matches across five days, five debuting ECN teams, identical team ratings, and a field missing the recent Portuguese ECS winners, the Battleborn Cup has all the ingredients for a wide-open contest.
Santarem Cricket Ground is ready. The names are fresh. The numbers are stacked. And by Friday 4 September 2026, one of these clubs will have turned opportunity into silverware.
