The ECS Portugal, Battleborn Cup, 2026 brings five senior men’s clubs to Santarem Cricket Ground for 21 matches across five match days. With every team stepping onto the ECN stage for the first time, Portugal Cricket has a fresh title race on its hands from Monday 31 August to Friday 4 September 2026.

A Fresh Chapter in Portugal

The ECS spotlight turns to Santarem, Portugal, where the ECS Portugal, Battleborn Cup, 2026 will be staged at Santarem Cricket Ground under the banner of Portugal Cricket.

This is a senior men’s clubs competition, and the field is compact but intriguing: Lisbon Warriors, Amadora Royals, Odivelas Titans, Santarém Stallions and Cartaxo Tuskers. Across five days, the teams are set for 21 matches, giving this new-look event plenty of room to build drama.

The biggest storyline? Every side in the competition is making its first ECN appearance. That means no baggage, no established pecking order on this stage, and plenty of opportunity for a club to write its first major ECN chapter.

The Teams: Nothing Separates Them on Paper

On the ECN ratings sheet, this field is remarkably level. Lisbon Warriors, Amadora Royals, Odivelas Titans, Santarém Stallions and Cartaxo Tuskers all carry an overall mark of 49, and each team is also marked at 49 for batting, bowling and fielding.

The ranking order adds a neat layer to the build-up. Lisbon Warriors come in at 4,656, followed by Amadora Royals at 4,657, Odivelas Titans at 4,658, Santarém Stallions at 4,659, and Cartaxo Tuskers at 4,660.

It is rare to see a tournament field this tightly packed on the numbers, and that only sharpens the sense that the Battleborn Cup could be decided by standout individual moments.

History Leaves the Door Open

Portugal’s recent ECS history has had some familiar names on the winners’ list. Malo won the ECS Portugal, 2024, while Lisbon Super Giants claimed the ECS Portugal, Challenger, 2025. In 2026, Fighters CC won the ECS Portugal (Challenger), and Malo also took the ECS Portugal (Premier) crown.

None of those previous winners are in this Battleborn Cup field. No defending champion, no returning title-holder, no established winner to chase down — just five clubs with a clear shot at becoming the first name associated with this competition.

Players to Watch

For Santarém Stallions, the numbers are impossible to ignore. Junaid Khan brings the deepest ECN experience in the event with 172 matches, and he is also the leading wicket-taker among players here with 151. Alongside him, Conrad Greenshields brings major batting pedigree, with 3,989 ECN runs and 301 maximos, the most by any player in this tournament field.

Santarém also have Kamrul Islam, who owns the highest ECN batter rating among players involved at 98, as well as the top bowling rating in the event at 87.

Amadora Royals have a serious all-round statistical weapon in Manpreet Singh. He holds the best batting average among players in the competition at 88.5, plus the best bowling average at 8.4 and the best economy rate at 5.3.

Cartaxo Tuskers bring explosive names of their own. Hardeep Khuttan has the highest batting strike rate in the field at 216.0, the best maximo rate at 13.5, and the standout bowling figures among players here: 6/18 in 3.0 overs, achieved for Malo against Gorkha XI on 14 June 2026. Cartaxo also have Muhammad Adnan, who owns the best bowling strike rate in the event at 7.0.

And don’t overlook Amandeep Singh of Cartaxo Tuskers, whose 98 from 38 balls for Lisbon Super Giants against Miranda Dragons on 21 May 2024 is the highest individual score recorded by any player in this field.
