ECS Spain, Madrid Encore, 2026 delivered six match days of explosive T10 cricket at La Elipa in Madrid, with Sonseca Sultans finishing as champions. Across 21 matches, five senior men’s clubs lit up Spain with huge totals, fierce chases, sharp fielding and a mountain of Maximos.

A Madrid T10 Festival to Remember

From Monday 19 October 2026 to Saturday 24 October 2026, ECS Spain, Madrid Encore, 2026 brought the ECS spotlight to Madrid, Spain, with La Elipa staging a completed 21-match club competition packed into six match days.

Five teams featured in the T10 event, and by the end of it all, the congratulations belonged to Sonseca Sultans, who were crowned winners of ECS Spain, Madrid Encore, 2026.

It was a tournament where teams batting first had the stronger hand, winning 62% of matches, as scoreboard pressure often proved decisive. But the chasers had their moments too, none bigger than Madrid United’s tournament-best pursuit of 184, when they beat Sonseca Sultans by nine wickets with 10 balls to spare in Match 12.

At the other end of the tension scale, Getafe Tigers showed that even in a run-heavy event, bowlers could still defend. Their 107-run defence against Madrid Blues in Match 4, sealed by just two runs, stood as the lowest score successfully protected.

The Tournament in Numbers

The numbers told the story of a serious T10 run-fest.

ECS Spain, Madrid Encore, 2026 produced 6,037 runs in all, with scoring racing along at 15.0 runs per over. That worked out to 2.27 runs per ball and 227.0 runs per 100 balls, showing just how quickly batting sides were moving through the gears.

The rope took plenty of punishment too. There were 520 fours, arriving at a rate of 12.9 per ten overs, alongside 430 Maximos. A Maximo arrived every 5.6 balls on average, with the overall Maximo rate sitting at 10.7 per ten overs.

Together, fours and Maximos accounted for 4,660 runs — a massive 77% of all scoring. Even so, there was still room for bowlers and fielders to make an impact, with 168 dismissals across the event, a dismissal every 35.9 runs, and a dismissal rate of 4.2 per ten overs. Dot balls made up 27% of deliveries, giving bowling sides precious chances to apply pressure.

Batting Fireworks

Madrid Blues produced the biggest team total of the event, smashing 224-2 in their 10 overs against Madrid CC in Match 18. That same match also gave us the tournament’s highest individual score, with Chaitanya Sharma blasting an unbeaten 182 from just 42 balls for Madrid Blues against Madrid CC.

Madrid Blues were not done there. In Over 5 of Match 18 against Madrid CC, they struck 36 runs — the most productive over of the entire tournament.

Sonseca Sultans had their own batting superstar in Vibhor Yadav, who finished as the top run-scorer of ECS Spain, Madrid Encore, 2026 with 691 runs in 10 matches. Vibhor also led the event for Maximos, launching 71 in 10 matches.

Vibhor’s all-round tournament made them the event’s Most Valuable Player for Sonseca Sultans. Across their 10 matches, they batted in all 10, faced 227 balls, scored those 691 runs at an average of 69.1 and a strike rate of 304.4. Their Maximo hitting was relentless, with 71 overall at a rate of 18.8 per ten overs, and 62.0% of their runs coming through fours and Maximos.

Their standout batting performance came for Sonseca Sultans against Madrid United on Saturday 24 October 2026, when they struck 125 from 33 balls and hit 15 Maximos in the match. They finished the event with 952 fantasy points, adding further weight to a superb campaign.

Bowling Bite

In a tournament full of big hitting, wickets were valuable currency — and Arun Nagar of Madrid Blues collected the most. Arun finished as the top wicket-taker with 12 wickets in seven matches.

The best individual bowling figures belonged to Kamran Raja of Sonseca Sultans, who produced a sharp 3/13 from 2.0 overs against Madrid Blues in Semi Final 2. In a format where batters often dominate, that spell stood out as one of the defining bowling efforts of the event.

Vibhor Yadav also contributed with the ball for Sonseca Sultans. The tournament MVP bowled in all 10 matches, sending down 113 balls, taking four wickets and conceding 258 runs. Their bowling economy rate was 13.7, with a strike rate of 28.3, and their best match return was 1/22 from 1.1 overs against Madrid Blues on Tuesday 20 October 2026.

Vibhor has played in seven events and is listed as yet to play for a national team, making this completed ECS campaign in Madrid another notable chapter in their senior men’s club cricket journey.

Fielding and Keeping Made Their Mark

The gloves were in good hands with Kashif Iqbal of Sonseca Sultans, who finished as the top keeper. In four matches, Kashif was involved in four dismissals: two catches as wicketkeeper, one stumping and one run out.

In the field, Vinay Bhardwaj of Madrid Blues led the way. Across three matches, Vinay completed six dismissals, taking five catches and adding one run out.

Those contributions mattered in a tournament where batting often grabbed the spotlight, but 168 dismissals showed that fielders and bowlers had plenty to say too.
