Reyes de Arganda Crowned First ECS Champions of the 2026 Season

Reyes de Arganda have become the first champions of the 2026 European Cricket Series season, defeating Madrid Superstars in a thrilling final under the lights at La Elipa Cricket Ground. In a high-scoring contest that capped six days of action in the Spanish capital, Reyes de Arganda posted an impressive 169 for 7, holding off the Superstars who finished on 158 for 6 in a fiercely contested chase.

The tournament produced standout individual performances throughout the week. Waseem Iqbal led the charge for Reyes de Arganda, topping the run charts with 359 runs while also claiming 10 wickets to deliver one of the most complete all-round performances of the event. Close behind was teammate Dilawar Ali, who finished the tournament with 352 runs, playing a crucial role in the team’s march to the title.
