Stallions Defend, Hippos Return: ECS Estonia 2026 Set for Tallinn Spotlight

ECS Estonia, 2026 brings five senior men’s club sides to Tallinn for six match days of action at the Estonian National Cricket and Rugby Field. With 24 matches planned from Monday 10 August 2026 to Saturday 15 August 2026, the Estonian Cricket Association stage is ready for a cracking week in Estonia.

A Tallinn Trophy Race With History

The big storyline is impossible to miss: Tallinn Stallions are back in the field after winning ECS Estonia in both 2024 and 2025. That makes them the team everyone will be watching as they return to defend their crown.

But they are not the only past Tallinn champions involved. Tallinn Hippos, winners of the European Cricket Series Tallinn in 2020, are also back in the mix, adding another layer of pedigree to this five-team ECS contest.

This is a senior men’s clubs event, and the cast is packed with ECN experience. Tallinn Stallions have played five ECN events, Tallinn Strikers have featured in four, while both Tartu Wolves and Tallinn Hippos have played three apiece. Viking Stars arrive with two ECN events behind them.

The Teams in the Frame

Tallinn Hippos enter with the strongest overall ECN team rating in the group at 96, backed by a batting mark of 96, bowling at 92 and fielding at 87. They also sit highest in the ECN team rankings among this field at 43.

Tallinn Stallions are close behind with a 95 overall rating and a ranking of 46. Their numbers are impressively balanced: 95 for batting, 91 for bowling and 90 for fielding.

Tallinn Strikers carry a 92 overall rating and are ranked 89, with a powerful batting figure of 96, bowling at 82 and fielding at 70. Tartu Wolves are rated 87 overall, ranked 172, with batting at 93, bowling at 72 and fielding at 70. Viking Stars, ranked 381, bring a 71 overall rating, with batting at 84, bowling at 58 and fielding at 59.

Strikers Bring Serious Firepower

If there is one player who can light up ECS Estonia, 2026, it is Sahil Chauhan of Tallinn Strikers. He has struck 224 maximos in ECN cricket, the most of any player in this event, and his maximo rate stands at 17.8.

Chauhan also owns the highest batting strike rate in the field at 267.0, making him one of the headline entertainers in Tallinn. And he is not just a batting story: his 4/12 from 2.0 overs for Tallinn United against Tallinn Rising Stars on 22 May 2024 is the best bowling return among players involved in this event.

Tartu Wolves have a standout all-round profile in Muhammad Usman Sr, who owns both the highest ECN batter rating in the event at 99 and the highest ECN bowling rating at 94.

For Tallinn Stallions, Pranay Gheewala arrives as the leading ECN wicket-taker in this field with 42 wickets, while teammate Zeeshan Ali brings the best economy rate among the bowlers at 9.8.

Viking Stars have their own danger men. Gull Zaman’s bowling strike rate of 7.6 is the best in the event, while Shayan Khan has the highest individual score on record among the players here: 92 not out from 28 balls for Tallinn Strikers against Mustamae Bulls on 15 May 2024.

Tallinn Hippos, meanwhile, can look to Henri Pattenden, whose bowling average of 16.9 is the best among players featuring in Tallinn.
