Malo CC have done it again and are your ECS Portugal Premier 2026 champions, delivering a dominant performance throughout the week and finishing in style in Santarém.

In the final, Malo overcame Oeiras with confidence, chasing down the target to win by 7 wickets with 13 balls to spare, underlining their control in the decisive moments of the tournament.

At the centre of their success was a remarkable batting display from Asim Sarwar, who topped the tournament charts with 463 runs at an extraordinary strike rate of 314.97, including a standout high score of 120. His consistency and ability to accelerate set the tone for Malo across the competition.

With the ball, Malo’s attack delivered just as strongly. Hassan Khan led the way with 14 wickets, supported by Shamsher Singh (11 wickets) and Usama Javid (10 wickets), forming a well-rounded bowling unit capable of applying pressure in all phases of the game.

The Premier Division once again highlighted the rising standard of cricket in Portugal, building on a competitive Challenger week where Fighters CC claimed the opening title. Across both divisions, ECS Santarém 2026 delivered two weeks of high-quality T10 cricket.

The European Cricket Network extends its thanks to Cricket Portugal and the Buccimazza family for their continued support in making the event possible.

Attention now turns back to Spain, where the ECN calendar continues with upcoming T20 fixtures over the next two weekends.
