ECS Spain, Ibiza, 2026 brings senior men’s club cricket to Ibiza Cricket Club across two packed match days. With Ibiza CC joined by ECN newcomers Defence Sikh Network and London New Zealand, the 8-match event has a fresh feel from the very first ball.

Ibiza Takes Centre Stage

The ECS heads to Ibiza for a two-day burst of cricket from Friday 2 October to Saturday 3 October 2026, with 8 matches planned at Ibiza Cricket Club.

This is a compact, intriguing three-team event in Spain, featuring Ibiza CC, Defence Sikh Network and London New Zealand. The competition sits under the ECS banner, with the event staged in the Cricket Espana landscape and centred firmly on senior men’s clubs.

For Ibiza CC, there is already some ECN history to draw on. They have played in two ECN events before and arrive with a strong published ECN profile: 93 overall, 70 with the bat, 98 with the ball and 85 in the field, alongside an ECN standing of 81.

Defence Sikh Network and London New Zealand, meanwhile, step into ECN competition for the first time as teams. That gives this Ibiza edition a lively sense of discovery, with established local ECN experience meeting new club names on the European stage.

London New Zealand Bring a Standout Name

London New Zealand may be new as a team in ECN events, but Chris Prentice gives them one of the biggest individual storylines of the tournament.

Prentice owns the highest batting rating among players in the event, sitting at 92, and also the highest bowling rating in the field, at 81. That rare double makes him an immediate player to watch.

He also brings the most ECN runs of anyone playing in Ibiza, with 68, and the best batting average in the event at 22.67. Add in the fact that he is also the most experienced ECN player listed for this tournament, with three matches played, and London New Zealand have a clear focal point as they make their team debut.

Ibiza CC’s Key Men Have Numbers Behind Them

Ibiza CC’s squad contains several of the event’s notable ECN markers.

Paul Cruttwell is the leading wicket-taker among players involved, with three ECN wickets. His best return also stands out: 3/26 from 8.0 overs for Ibiza CC against Sporting Alfas on 2 May 2026.

Rick Plews brings the maximo angle for Ibiza CC. He has hit one ECN maximo, the most among players in this event, and also owns the strongest maximo rate listed at 1.5.

Paul Partridge adds another sharp batting note. He has the highest batting strike rate among the event’s players at 250.0, with his listed top score coming as 5 from 2 balls for Ibiza CC against Sporting Alfas on 2 May 2026.

A Compact Event With Plenty to Learn

With only three teams and 10 matches across two days, ECS Spain, Ibiza, 2026 is built to move quickly.

Ibiza CC arrive with the clearest team-level ECN record, while Defence Sikh Network and London New Zealand bring the intrigue of first appearances. Around that, individual storylines are ready-made: Chris Prentice’s all-round numbers, Paul Cruttwell’s wicket-taking record, Rick Plews’ maximo threat and Paul Partridge’s rapid scoring rate.

For fans, that mix should make Ibiza a fascinating stop on the ECS calendar: familiar ECN data on one side, fresh team identities on the other, and plenty of cricket packed into a short October window.
