The European Cricket Network (ECN) is proud to announce the launch of the European Cricket Festivals, a new initiative designed to bring communities together across Europe through great cricket, shared experiences and professional live streaming.
Building on the success of the European Cricket Series (ECS), the European Cricket Festivals will create new opportunities for clubs, organisers and communities to showcase the game in T10, T20 and 40-over formats, while helping raise awareness of cricket across the continent. The aim is simple: to celebrate the game, connect people, and give more visibility to the communities working so hard to grow cricket in Europe.
After delivering more than 290 events and over 7,000 matches on ECN, we have seen first-hand the power of cricket to unite communities and create memorable sporting moments. We have also seen how strong production, streaming and storytelling can help elevate clubs, players, venues and organisers onto a much bigger stage. The European Cricket Festivals are the next step in that journey.
The first ECF events will take place in Spain at Sporting Alfas beginning in April, followed by Zuoz in the Engadin, Switzerland from 11–14 June, and Regensburg in Germany on 26–27 September. These festivals will showcase not only exciting cricket, but also the unique spirit of the communities that make the sport possible across Europe.
A key part of the initiative is the promotion of both men’s and women’s cricket, ensuring that more players, teams and organisers have the chance to be seen, recognised and celebrated. Cricket in Europe is growing because of the dedication of so many people, and ECN believes these festivals can provide another important platform to support that growth.
ECN has a great deal to offer when it comes to promoting cricket in Europe, but so do the many outstanding clubs, federations, associations and volunteers who continue to invest their time, passion and energy into developing our favourite sport. The European Cricket Festivals are about working together with those communities to help amplify their efforts and create events that resonate locally and internationally.
This is also a clear invitation to event hosts across Europe. If you are organising a cricket event and would like ECN to stream and promote it, please get in touch. We are ready to work with hosts to find a way to collaborate and help elevate the platform that is European Cricket.
Together, we can raise awareness of the game, bring communities closer, promote both the men’s and women’s game, and continue building a bigger future for cricket in Europe.
